As I play with my tree, I find more and more people mentioned in the davinchi code, in my family tree, I was not impressed until I  found a ST Clair, then I thought, hunm Sir henry stclair? but no, I searched for Sinclair and found her

her father was William Sinclair

his father was

Henry, Earl of Orkney, Sinclair

So do not discount the movie completely yet!

Because I also have the Bagdad Jews in my tree, marrying into the French line of Dagobert?

Now I haven't run this in either direction yet, so its all in fun for now!

David, I hate to burst your bubble, but The DaVinci Code, by Dan Brown is a novel, and even the authors of the so called factual book on which is supposedly based 'The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail'  admitted to inventing much of it.

There was a theory that the early Counts of Toulouse, may have been Jewish but this has now been generally discredited.

There are no sources contemporary to the time that support any of these theories and as we know Sources are an important part of the Honor Code on Wikitree.

OAK island! that should get you going!

:)
As I go through this line again. Not the divinchi code part.

But the wikiteee relationships. To all these people who are real. The man who created Roslyn chapel. Is in wikitree tree here, is a grandfather. And why is this is weird.

This group the cathars, I read a document once, that decribed one of my grandfathers. A templar, he gave to that order of the church.

The cathars, after returning from jerusalum. He gave them a piece of the true cross, a Ring of gold, thought to be the ring of power of Solomon. And something else like a large silver chalice or picher.

Now of course those were all supposed to be treasures of king Solomon. I dont know were I saw that document.

My question is, have you seen those items mentioned in some templar source?.

So its not a divinchi code thing to finnd the child of Christ.

This is a knights templar story.
