Suggestion: Easier to use tool displaying Categories used

One of all magic tools Aleš has done is the list

It displays

  • all your profiles with
  • Categories used ==> you can easy check if all profiles have categories that should have
  • born, death locations etc...

==> we will get better quality in WikiTree regarding locations and categories

Question: shouldnt that list be easier to find? Maybe a menu option

I would love to see something easier to find, so you can go back and check your categories in one go instead of going into each profile.
I think this list Aleš made is great and will help me. It would be even more useful if I could sort by birth or death place. Thanks, Aleš, and also to Magnus for letting me know this function existed.

Also, am I right that this report is run from the weekly download and is not dynamic?

A great big THANK YOU, Aleš and Magnus!!

I wondered if such a tool existed, but didn't know what to call it. I should have known it would be part of Aleš's awesome work!!!!

And if you want a list alphabetized by surname:

wikitree.sdms.si/function/WTWebProfileSearchUser/UserProfiles.htm?WikiTreeID=Your WikiTree ID&SortOrder=LNAB&PageSize=1000

Perfect (hope it works - after you replace the highlighted text with your WikiTree ID)!!

It is quite easy to find.

You just go to WikiTree+ site http://wikitree.sdms.si/Default.htm Select Search group select Managed by item and enter yourt WikitreeID.

There you have also other possibilities to search.

I must be really dumb but that only brings up my error list.  I want the same one that Magnus brings up with his new function string.  Anybody know where he has that one?
Nancy, use the link that Magnus has above but replace his wikitree ID (at the end of the URL string) with your own.
Tried that, got a list of google search results. What am I doing wrong?

@Shirley

This is yours WikiTreeID=Strutton-11

Thanks, Magnus. Worked like a charm.

@Shirley Nice to hear

Lists are excellent and if we could have some report tool so we could define reports ourself and also more structured data in WikiTree that would open up new possibilities

  • Find all blacksmiths in 1800 in my family tree
  • Find all profiles with an event in county xxx
  • Find all profiles who emigrated
  • Find all profiles buried at a specific churchyard we are going to visit

Nancy,

Here is a list of all things you can do on Wikitree+. There is also help page beeing done https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/WikiTree_Plus

You are displaying some of the error reports. That is the first group of reports. Further down on left part you have group Analyses followed by group Search and here you can get your report. it is item Managed By.

3.1 Errors

3.2 Analyses

3.3 Search

3.4 Reports

3.5 Statistics

A BIG BIG thank you for putting that together.
