Hello, as you can see here - https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/338005/would-please-help-finding-welsh-margaret-watkin-griffith-born - I am looking for Welsh Ms Joan Griffith(s) (maiden name) who was living in Liverpool in the late 40’s and early 50’s. With the help of old documents I had access to, the Internet and the answers I got on WikiTree, here is what I know so far:

Margaret Joan Watkin(s) Griffith(s) was born in 1928, in Caernarvon. Her mother was Florence Jane Watkin(s) Griffith(s), born in 1895, in Penrhyn, Merionethshire, daughter of Edward and Grace Watkin(s). Florence got married in Caernarvon to David Griffith(s), who probably died in the Second World War.

Florence and David also had a son, presumably Iorwerth H Watkin(s) Griffith(s), born in 1923, in Caernarvon, who got married to Mary C Evans in 1946. Joan refers to her brother as Iori.

I am not sure if Gwendoline R Watkin(s) Griffith(s) (maiden name), also born in 1923, in Caernarvon, is Joan’s sister. Anyway, this would make her the twin sister of Iorwerth. This Gwen R W Griffith(s) married Dylwyn (or Dilwyn) James and they had four children - Gareth, Annette, Anne and Richard. They presumably lived in Pembrokeshire. By the time Dylwyn died, in 2010 (Gwen died years before), he had five grandchildren - Michael, Katie, Claire, Steven and Rhys.

Back in the 1940's, (Margaret) Joan had a female cousin living in the United States, who visited the family in Wales in 1950. This cousin was the daughter of Kitty and presumably Harold. Kitty and Harold were very attached to Joan and her mother. They were probably living or spending the Summer in Aberdesach in the late 40’s and early 50’s.

(Margaret) Joan visited Portugal during that period, presumably twice, the first time in 1948. She had several jobs in Liverpool in 1948-50, she did some modelling, and travelled to Sydney by boat in 1950. She returned to the UK in 1953 and got a job at a beauty salon or a cosmetic company that allowed her to travel extensively in the UK, througout 1954 and 1955. Joan probably went to the United States around 1955.

If you can help me finding any member of the families I have mentioned here, I would appreciate it. Thank you very much for your help.

Hi Mateus! I came across this HUGE page of genealogy that you may want to take a look at. It doesn't cover as many areas I'd like (particularly concerning the Griffith side), but I figured it might be worth sharing to you if you can find a link back through other family names or members.

Hi, Becky, good morning. Thank you for your answer and the link. I looked at the page but I wasn't able to find there a link to the families I am looking for, specially because I have no other information besides what I already told you here. Anyway, I appreciated your help, and if you'll get any other clue on this subject, I'll be happy to hear from you.
Thanks again. Have a nice day.
