Need Categories to Show in Changes

+5 votes
As a profile manager, I'm notified when anyone makes changes to a profile I manage, which helps me monitor the profile and correct errors when they're added.

But I'm not notified when a category is added.  This is particularly troublesome when the category is added inappropriately.  Lois Unknown, who became Lois Shipley, was long considered an ancestor of Abraham Lincoln.  Recently, the Shipley ancestry of Lincoln has been disproven.  But she keeps being added as to the category of Presidential Ancestors.  But profile managers aren't notified when categorization errors are made, because categories are under the radar for changes.

It would be most helpful if the programming could be amended to include the addition or deletion of a category as a change that profile managers are notified of.

Dont you see it in the activity feed if the profile is in your watchlist?

Adding a category is just adding text and is shown in the change log

Magnus, you're correct and I was wrong with regard to the Changes tab itself -- as you show, the profile shows that a category was deleted.

Also, in my activity feed it shows that the profile was changed -- but only because I also made a change in the data field.  If I or anyone else simply added or deleted a category from the profile of Lois Shipley, without making any other changes, it would not show up in my activity feed, so I would not be alerted that a change had been made.

I did a test change on the profile above see if you get something

Shipley-3 was updated with a personal category as a test (you Jack are on the trusted list)

Magnus, it showed up, so I apparently am completely wrong on this one!  My apologies to everyone!
