Is there a Native American project that can take this profile under their wing?

This profile was linked to from another g2g thread. The PM is long inactive. The first name is, um, way too much, and there are no sources.  Can a project help? Thanks.

I am not with any Native Ameican projects but googled the name and found him here:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kechewaishke

So he could fit in with the notables??

Why would he be called Kechewaishke Kechewaishke? He really only had one name (at a time). He was baptized Frederick so you could use that as a first name with his last name the same, as the Anishnawbe did in some cases.

BTW his father was On-daig-woes, aka Buffalo.

Siblings were sister, Pash-ta-comme-(go)-quai who married _____ Riel / Relle/ Rivet; and brother, Joseph Tchtchigwais who married Marie Tatchiga. That I know of.

I have a friend who may be descended from this person, I will let her know.

Yes, his profile needs help. That's why I posted my initial query.
Have some buffalo in my family. New to this site. Disregard if necessary as I'm newbing. Ha.
We Love newbies. No need to disregard. I just looked at your pedigree; don't see any Buffalos in it yet. Let us know if you need any help.
Mindy, It would be great if you wanted to work on this profile. I popped over to clean it up, but there are lots of things to be done, such as finding some primary sources for him. There seem to be a lot as he was quite well documented.

Thanks!

Yes I'm actually writing it all down on paper first and then going to transfer at once for less confusion as I see I need birthdays and have 5 hundred tabs open. I'm actally really far with my mom's dad's family. I am to 1811 and stuck now. :/
Looking at this again...  Following the Native American project naming guidelines, should his LNAB be changed to Chippewa?

There's also a pending merge with an Unknown which should be unproposed if we change the LNAB to Chippewa.
The merge with Unknown was completed into Buffalo....was this incorrect?   The merge was proposed this way, no indication on the profile that this was incorrect.  Can the project weigh in, please?
The merge was proposed several months ago and went to default approval. No one questioned it at the time. We do need some sourcing to determine the correct LNAB. If it should not be Buffalo, then the name needs to be rearranged to show Chippewa. I'll take a look, but it wouldn't hurt to have other people look, too.
Jillaine, his last name would be "Ojibwa" (see https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/552526/native-american-sticker-ojibwa?show=552526#q552526 ), I could not find other message Rose posted regarding use of Ojibwa rather than "Chippewa". It should be noted that names were changed at different periods in a person's life.  Kechewaishke does not mean Buffalo. Keche or Gitchee means great or big or large, Waishke or Wayishkee means "first-born". Technically no matter what you use as LNAB it will probably be wrong
