Tryon and Lucas families - Middletown, CT circa 1770-1780

With the help of w few dedicated WikiTree Tryon researchers - especially Laurie Keller -  I have been trying to piece together and disentangle various branches of the Tryon lineage.

The current puzzle is this - trying to resolve the parents of  Noah Tryon [Tryon-2172] we are led to consider whether John Tryon [Tryon-138] is the best candidate, or if there is another John Tryon of the same period that we are missing.

Tryon-138 married Rhoda Lucas 1769.

I find three records of three  births to a John Tryon and Phebe Lucas (through Family Search index - Connecticut Births and Christenings, 1649-1906," all citing Middletown.  Two daughters Phebe (1769), Mabel (1171) and son Noah (1772).

The first child listed among those for John & Rhoda here on wikitree is Mary Tryon (1774), and there is another listed for them in 1774 - Jeremiah.

I would appreciate advice and assistance in making sense of this.

Perhaps there was another John Tryon who married Phebe and those are their children.  Perhaps Phebe and Rhoda are close relations.  Perhaps Phebe and Rhoda are the same person.  I haven't seen originals, I am largely dependent upon database/indices, and I have not made a study of the Lucas family.

I am hoping someone else interested in this line has run into this and has made sense of it.  I see some researchers on other sites have connected the Noah Tryon I am researching with this John & Rhoda, but I don't know their reasoning.

Thanks for the link and data.  Curiously no (mention or) connection to the Lucas family in those 4 generations, though the last male in the list is the John Tryon of interest here.

I'm finding no record of a Phebe Lucas thus far, and the gap between John's marriage to Rhoda Lucas and the first child attributed to them leads me to believe that Phebe Lucas is meant to be Rhoda Lucas.

Also, Laurie Keller reports no sign of another John Tryon that fits the location data.

Thank you, interestingly, the profile here on wikitree for John has a link to another findagrave entry for John (same dates, etc.) - at a different cemetery, no photograph available.  This is helpful as we have an image of the marker for John & wife Rhoda.
No memorial has been found for Rhoda's father, John, although he may be buried at the same cemetery.

I wonder if Rhoda's father, John Lucas, (1735-1776) died in 1776 while serving in the American Revolutionary War.
I think that attribution in find-a-grave may be incorrect regarding her Father -- we have her father's name as Moses Lucas [Lucas-1196]  ... The link to John Lucas returns "Memorial not found" ... someone seems to have caught the error.
