I don't think Special:Unconnected is working

I don't think the Special:Unconnected page is working correctly. The total number of Unconnected profiles reported on that page has been exactly the same for at least three days running, and there are a bunch of profiles showing up on the Unconnected list that are in my Watchlist who were all connected days ago (and show the links to A.J., Queen Elizabeth, et al.).

Are the hamsters doing okay? Do they need more Purina Hamster Chow?

I think Special:Unconnected is partially working, but Connection Finder isn't updating it: https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/345433/is-the-connection-finder-not-running

Partially working is right. Actually it is completely broken IMHO. My unconnected profiles show 1000 unconnected and after that it gives up yet only 33 of those show 0 connections. All the rest are 2+. But what is a connection? My mother's unconnected connections shows 40 connections, yet I can only see 7 people 'attached' to her. Where does 40 come from?

I have notice inconsistencies too.   Out of 280 profiles on the list I was looking at only two family groups were incorrect. In one family group all the siblings save one were on the unconnected list,.  Yet the route of the connection to the one tree for him is through one of the siblings still listed as unconnected.
The Unconnected pages now show a message that says "Note that this data was updated in a process that started January 31, 2017 at 10:21PM GMT and completed February 4, 2017 at 9:28AM GMT. People connected today will not be removed from the list below until about this time tomorrow."

I guess that profiles that were unconnected (even temporarily) at some time between those dates may still show up on the list with quirky data.

@Ellen, this I could go along with except: through the import of DL_666_20151027.ged on Oct 27, 2015

I think that something like an LNAB change can temporarily break a connection path.
Well, as I said in the other thread, I have this one guy, created on 31 January, who has been connected (as per the bottom of his profile page) for several days now (I'm not sure when he first got connected, because I don't check every day. But the thing is, he is STILL on my Special:Unconnected page (as reported in the other thread).

I experimented this morning by orphaning him and then re-adopting him, to see if that would "shake him loose" from my Unconnected list, but it didn't.
That's what I'm seeing, too, Eva.
It's still not working properly. My Unconnected list still has those same people listed as Unconnected who were connected back on 31 January.

The header at the top of the Special:Unconnected page says "Note that this data was updated in a process that started January 31, 2017 at 10:21PM GMT and completed February 6, 2017 at 9:27AM GMT." That's not right! Maybe there's a counter or marker that's supposed to reset every day, but it hasn't been resetting.
I agree, I'm seeing the same problem. I have profiles of relatives that say connected to so-and-so at the bottom of their profile, yet still appear on my unconnected list a week later.
It's been fixed! My Unconnected list is a good bit shorter. :-)
Same here ..... hooray!

And now it says:

Note that this data was updated in a process that started February 6, 2017 at 8:13PM GMT and completed February 6, 2017 at 8:53PM GMT. People connected today will not be removed from the list below until about this time tomorrow.

Unstuck!

Thank you, all. We did have a problem, and thanks to your reporting it, it should now be fixed.
Still showing 400+ on mine with only 40 or so having no connections at all. :(

Is the answer given correct? Unconnected meaning not connected to QE etc.

Unconnected means to the global reunion it means no connection has been found to the three current names at the bottom aj, I believe queen Elizabeth and whatever the winner of the battle connection is you can have a person that has a 1000 people linked to them it will still be unconnected if that particular link is found.

The list 2 connections is sort of erroneous it simply means the person has 2 parents, children, spouses, siblings, any combo of the above that adds to 2.
