I was victim of unsuccessful hack, my info was wiped clean to remove potential viruses, now cant login

Hi,

Are you not able to login with your e-mail address? Is it that you don't remember which e-mail address is associated with your account, or what the password is? If it's the password, you can request a new one from the login form. If it's the e-mail address, e-mail info@wikitree.com and the team should be able to help you figure it out.

I clicked on this question before Chris answered it and got a voice notice that my computer was infected and microsoft told me to call this number, with the warning that if I shut off my computer it would.....Needless to say I shut off my computer at that moment because I fell for this warning last spring and found out a month later that AARP was telling us it is a scam.
$500 later--$250 to "Tech Fix Now" for a "fix" and $250 to Staples to remove their malware.  Then they bombarded me with phone calls to return my money after I had a new credit card number and they needed that to return it.  Ha Ha.  Now they are calling me to tell me the "fix" is outdated and.....I just hang up.

tThis is exactly what happened to me!!.  Thankfully I had not given them any info before I called my sister and she told me to hang up.  I then called my internet provider and the tech wiped all non-microsoft and non-lenovo info and my e-mail addresses out to make sure all the hacker had installed was gone.  Now I am a contributor of over 10,000 links and cannot get back in.  I have requested a new password over and over but not getting a response.  I would appreciate any help.  Thank you

I had the same thing happen to me and my Norton came up and said it keep it from downloading and then I turned my computer off and then I turned it back on because I wasn't through using the computer. I could get my computer up and running and have not had any problems since then. I happened last year in the fall.
