Boy are my dogs ever tired! RootsTech2017

Why yes, yes they are tired! My feet are killing me, my back hurts, my voice is nonexistant, but?

I am absolutely ecstatic that I got to come to RootsTech once again to talk to millions of people...what? It wasn't millions? OK hundreds (thousands at least) over this these past few days.

I also spent some time recording interviews with great people in the genealogy field, beginners and experts alike.

We, Julie and I, also pulled off our first live, on-site WikiTree LiveCast. The logistics and preparation for every conceivable contingency worked-out well for us. Lugging all of our "gear" from Chicago and Ottawa to Salt Lake City wasn't all that fun but well worth it.

Everyone who came and worked so hard to make our booth the brightest (smartest) and most fun of all the booths here, did wonderful things and really stood out as WikiTreers Extraordinaire! Great Job one and all.

Now to pack ourselves all up and set off for our respective homes, families and much missed pets!

Mags, you are awesome. Hope your trip home is smooth.
Can you share with us some the the things that you see in our future?

Thanks Maggie - I flew home LATE last night during that storm. Incredible how Ottawa can stay open when a storm like that shuts down everyone else. More snow on the way later today, tonight and tomorrow but thankfully I am tucked in with my family and my geneapet Jake Parker.

Vic - That is a great question and I want to answer that a bit better in a post of it's own. This was something we discussed a good bit over the last few days and it seems this is something people want to know. I can tell you briefly that things are a foot - always - in trying to integrate WikiTree in our so collaborative way. Like Peter Roberts great work to get the integration with GEDmatch done.

Hi Mags!! I watched the live cast video and thought you did an awesome job. It was funny in the beginning to watch you stop and get your notes and tell the others, just chat on lol!!!

I know you enjoyed working along side with Julie and the others during the last few days and have memories like crazy to share.

Thanks for all you do, and just know you made all of us back home proud this week at the RootsTech!!
