I have tried to save a date on this profile four times. I'm entering the date, I'm saving the changes (see the change log) but the date is not on the profile. ????

You are right, no error message, says changes were applied, but no birth date on the profile.

Ooooooooops, baptism date 31 June?

Made it 30 June and change is applied. Curious though that 31 June does not raise an error message!

Brilliant Jan. Thank you.
This FamilySearch record might be a better source. It does not states de day of the month:

Name:    Samuell Sebbrookel
Gender:    Male
Christening Date:    Jun 1608
Christening Place:    TRING,HERTFORD,ENGLAND
Father's Name:    Robart Sebbrookel
Indexing Project (Batch) Number:    C02025-1
System Origin:    England-ODM
GS Film number:    91766

Citing this Record:
"England Births and Christenings, 1538-1975," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:J734-48Y : 30 December 2014), Samuell Sebbrookel, Jun 1608; citing TRING,HERTFORD,ENGLAND, reference ; FHL microfilm 91,766.
I have checked the Parish Register Image for Tring (available at Find My Past).

There is only 1 entry for Samuel.  The baptism date is 31 July, with the "y" partially cut off on the image.
Thanks Vivian, the source that I had also had the 31 July entry. And the profile has already been changed to reflect that date.

We don't get to see all the details, so these are just my guesses based on what I have done previously.

If you are typing out the month in full, it will not be accepted. You have to use the first 3 letters of the month and also all 4 digits of the year. For the day just write 12 instead of 12th. So todays date for example should be 12 Feb 2017.

Your changes also said that your date of birth should come before the baptism date so check that the years are right. I have accidently sometimes written 1772 when I should have written 1872.

Hope this helps.

Anne ~

Just for the heck of it.  I changed the before this date to certain.  And then changed it back again.  It seemed to work.

I tried that also Mary. It works now because there is no 31 Jun and it's now 30 Jun. Jan figured it out.

Oh, I see.  We did what we did at almost the same time.  And there I go, trying to take credit. : )

We were thinking alike, trying to change some other parameter, to see if it would  fix itself.
