Still searching for parents of my ggg grandfather, John Jordan.  He was born March, 1764 perhaps in Orange Co., NY; married 1785 Julia Swarthout (various spellings) and he died Jan 26, 1850 at home of his youngest daughter in :Pike, Wyoming Co., New York.  He is buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Friendship, Allegany County, NY on site purchased by his son, Jacob Jordan.  Would like to hear from anyone knowing information. Please write rjthoden@twcny.rr.com.
