Request for a new TAG

Question

Unless there is already such a tag I would like to propose GerRus. There are about a million German Russian descendants in the Americas and Australia. We have an organization - the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia - AHSGR and many of us are quite proud of our roots. We refer to ourselves as GerRus.

You might be interested in the Volga German Project, a subproject of German Roots. Projects like that one exist to help promote collaboration in researching the genealogies of people who share a particular history.

Jayne, this is cool! My daughter (step... and mine) is a descendant of Volga Russians. As soon as I saw you query, I sent her this page so she could see it. Thanks bunches!
