Looking for John Andrew Lackey b. 1851 in Virginia

Newbie here!! I'm looking for more documentation for my GGGrandfather, John Andrew Lackey (b. 1851 Virginia). He married Martha Wandless in 1886. I can't find any death records and he is not in many censuses. Thanks in advance for you help!!
