Additions not showing in my Tree.

Just getting started. I added my father, his mother and her father, as the first additions to my Tree. They aren't showing in the Tree. I didn't see a notice that I should expect to wait.  --It has stopped me from doing any more.

I believe the problem is that your profile is not attached to your father's profile (Smith-120170).

Go to your profile and look for this text: Daughter of [father?]. Click the link and copy/paste your father's WikiTree ID (Smith-120170) into the box at the end of step A.).then click the green GO button to attach your father's profile to yours.

It looks like there are two profiles for your father.  You are connected to the one you created.  The one you have been editing was already on WikiTree (the one Lindy referred to).  I have proposed a merge of the two profiles.  You'll need to approve the merge.  The other profile manager is quite active and I am certain she will take care of her end of it very soon.  When the merge is completed you will be connected to the profiles you have been editing.

If you want to connect to the other profiles right away.  I believe you can disconnect from the profile (for your father) you created and then connect to the profile of your father's that was already here.

...best not to disconnect (the profile could go sort of go missing), just carry-on and when the merge happens all will be well.  Good luck!

Agree on that merge but don't disconnect them. Wait for Kitty to do the merge of your Dad's profile. You should get an email and click on link that you approve.
