Finding Dup profiles and doing merges is what I like. Is this the right place?

I don't know where you are, but finding dupes is a noble enterprise and I hope you are good at it.  Then you get to suggest merges that need be approved by their respective managers.  There are plenty of mergers that need to be completed if you go under the FIND menu at the top right of the page.  You'll see PENDING MERGES.  These have already been approved or default approval due to no response. Just please take a moment to clean-up any merges you complete.  Otherwise, they get very jumbled and unreadable.

I have a dups who came over to America. Hans Jacob Dups

He Sailed from Rotterdam, on Sep 16th,1736. on the Ship Princess Agustas.

Hope this helps someone.

As someone who winds up doing a lot of dup cleanup and merges -- IME, cleaning up the best profile, and cleaning out the others before the merge is by far the easiest thing to do.

Bios are usually chronological (or most-important-thing followed by chronology,)  so working through two of them side-by-side is pretty easy:  "Yup, have that; oh, great source, pull that in; hey, that's garbage, toss it."

But once they're all combined in a single bio, the logic and easy side-by-side comparison is lost.
