Is there a project for propsectors.? Riverboat pilots?

I would think that prospectors and Mississipi Riverman would fit in somewhere under the Westward Ho ! Project bud did,'e see any sub- projects such as Cowboys and Cowgirls for them. Are new sub-projects needed ?

That sounds like a very interesting project. It is definitely something that would be challenging for someone to do research on. Once an individual left the last of the big cities there had to be limited documentation, until they registered for a claim or settled down in a particular town.

Westward_ho is a very broad category that certainly could include Riverboat Pilots, crewman and Prospectors but not specific to those two occupations.

I suggest you contact Alison Andrus-373, project leader and request these two occupations be added to the sub-catagories.
