Ok I am trying to figure out my great great great great grandfather was Arthur Blenner Hassett but it appears he dropped the Blenner part of his name when he was travelling as a sales man in london and eventually ending up marrying a Margaret Thompson and they dropped the BlennerHasset and eventually emigrated to New Zealand

This may not help BUT my g g grandfather, Mortimer Sullivan's second wife was Penelope Fitzgerald and her moms maiden name was HASSETT.  The family was born in Ireland and came to Boston, Brookline, Mass area in the late 1870's.  if this is of interest let me know.  If not ..Good Luck!
