Hi, we’re you ever able to get more information?  She is my 5th great-grandmother.  I am trying to trace my Sample family ancestry.  Nancy’s daughter, Nancy Ann was married to Lewis Sample.  Tracking him has led me here.

We believe that they are a family cemetery in Piedmont, Anderson County, South Carolina that is fenced off behind the old Community Cash (Grocery store) the Spearman Family is also buried at Shiloh United Methodist Church the Church was said to be at another location before building was built at present location that also had a cemetery, Asbury Spearman born 1816 is my line all my grandfathers are buried in this cemetery. So was your Nancy Spearman a sister to my Asbury Spearman? Thanks
Nancy Ann Spearman Sample I see Nancy Ann Spearman with David and Nancy on the 1850 census do you have information on when she married and did they stay in Piedmont or did they move away I’m interested in adding your information or merging your line. Thanks

I actually just started mine a few days ago on ancestry because I received my DNA results.  My tree is public Stephanie Sample Family tree.  It’s a bit messy right now but you are more than welcome to see if you can pull anything from it.  When Nancy Ann and Lewis would have been married according to the first born son Caleb Sample, she would have only been 11 or 12.  I think (hopefully) she is his step-mother.  I also created the wiki account tonight but still learning how to navigate. Steph.

From what I’ve found, Nancy Ann and Caleb Sample stayed in Edgefield, SC until death.  Their son Caleb Lenzie Sample moved to Ga with his wife which is how I ended up in Ga. I live in SC coincidentally now as my husband is military.

I looked on Find A Grave for Nancy Spearman Sample it say’s Edmund was her father do you know if that is true. Her is Edmund but he had two wife’s and lived in Newberry County I believe. But Nancy Spearman on the 1850 census in Brushy Creek, Piedmont, Anderson County listed still as a Spearman and this census has David and Nancy Spearman as Parents maybe two different Nancy Ann Spearman’s https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Spearman-133. Look at this Edmund Spearman they are all the same family the ones in Brushy Creek, South Carolina and Newberry, SC

Check all these you will see two Nancy Ann Spearman’s

1850 and 1860 census your Nancy Ann Spearman has last name Sample but the 1850 and 1860 census of Nancy Ann Spearman living in Brushy Creek looks like a different lady but is a cousin, my DNA is with 23andme

I have Nancy Ann Spearman Born Aug. 1819 married to Lewis Caleb Sample.  Parents David and Nancy Spearman.  Then my tree goes down from their son Dr Caleb Linzie Sample, Jesse W Sample, Parker Sample, Donald Sr, Donald Jr, to me.  My biggest confusion is Nancy would be 11 at the time of Caleb’s birth.  I have been following the hints on ancestry and what a couple others I could look at.  Perhaps it could be the wrong Nancy?
