Robert M Scott 1820 S.C est.1884 SC, was his father Winfred Scott or another SCOTT? Please Help with this

All Robert M Scott ' s children took their Mother's last name , Children are listed on profile and is his children by Census some say they may not have been married, and I have Census showing children Scott and later Breazeale but Robert M Scott may have been Robert Scott a Civil War Soldier,  Thanks for anything you can help me with

Son of Patrick Scott and Elizabeth Temperance (Berry) Scott

If you click on Robt Scott and then on his parents, there is some additional information there. Have you checked out familysearch.org ? They could have additional information on his parents.

I worked with a man in St Louis MO, his name was Bob Scott, who descended from Winfield Scott a Civil War

I heard that Bob had passed away a few years ago but I believe he had children who may still be involved in the antique stores he owned on Manchester Rd in St Louis County, Mo.  

I do not know if any of this is helpful to you or not.  But I remember having several conversations with him about his ancestor.
