I looked on fold 3 didn't find him on any rostes, did find his brother Samuel. Also found some pension records and an interesting letter from a descendent for the brothers Bryson that includes Andrew and Samuel this person was of the opinion they mustered out of SC and fought at cowpens and another battle.

I don't want to just upload the docs to a profile cntact me tomorrow and we'll figure out how to get them to you.

also i Checked SAR and DAR didn't find him, doesn't mean he's not there might be because of incorrect input.

This is info that my mother found ....

Would he have been to old if he was born 1754?
He would have been about 58 in 1812 and 61 by 1815. Did not find a record of him serving in the Revolutionary War of 1776-1783, but he might have been in that war. I suspect that some men in their 60's could have participated in those earlier wars in America.
Frank I believe this man got 520 acres of land I may can called Jackson County Society Library,  I believe I got a cousin that works on Tuesday that would also tell me something,  the Bryson, Holmes, Countryman, Wilson, and Hooper family records are up their or some of them are I wish Jackson County would put them on line, but Andrew Bryson and Absalom Hooper Revolutionary War Soldier's was in Pendleton District and both ended up in Haywood County / Jackson County area and their children Nancy Bryson and William Hooper Esq is my connection to these men , I went up their two years ago and didn't know what to look for or nothing much about my family,  but with WikiTree who ever invited me here , sure did answer my Prayers,  this Andrew Bryson may have married a Sarah Sallie Cherokee Indian lady the second marriage and saved Yellow Could and everybody has the story twisted I don't know. Thanks for helping
Sometimes a visit like you are thinking about can uncover some good information. A cousin of mine was in Kew, England some years ago and he found extensive war records of one of our ancestors. This ancestor served in the 54th Regiment of Foot on the English side during the American Revolution.
I need to go talk to Pickens County Library about Brushy Creek Township and Hurricane Creek, Township I got lots of Folks from these two Places not sure the location but from them being Buried in White Plains Baptish Church Cemetery and Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery it has to be close ,
