How do I enter the father of an illegitimate child?

A grandmother of mine had three children all of which were out of wedlock. She never married but the three fathers are known.  Do I identify them on her profile and if I do, how do I do it?

Hi Norm,

Whether you list the men on her profile is up to you. They could go in the biography.

For the children, you would just add the father as you would normally.

The father would be identified on the profile of each of the children, as their father.

You could write a note in the biography section of the mother as to the relationship with the father if you'd like. That might help clarify possible confusion for other researchers down the road.
