The record's of his family are confusing,  it looks like he had numerous wife's was he just married to Mary Ann "Polly" Hooper and only two children,  Thanks

He had six siblings so maybe somebody's adding a brother's wife and kids to Ben's.
There's fold3 page for him but I don't get that so maybe post another G2G asking for it?

Did he marry Mary Ann "Polly " Hooper I know the Tombstone has them married,  I was just hoping to find something else , Sources,  or pension,  Thanks for helping

Since it's in familysearch, click view original in the little right side box, a black screen appears, wait for the image to load, when the picture appears, on the upper right corner, you should see DOWNLOAD. Click that. Wait. It downloads to your Docs(Documents)

It appears that he died during the war, but unclear as to cause of death. He died at home, perhaps from illness or wounds:

Donnie, If you look at history & casualties reports for the NC 25th Infantry you may find out if he died from wounds or illness.
