Hello Michael,

It just getting better than this!  Wonderful records inscribed and filled with family love and care so long ago.   You are fortunate to have these old records and bible as many are lost to time.  I appreciate your thoughts as I began my family search from the bible willed to me.  I am very passionate about returning found bibles to family and have been successful in my own life to have bought 3 bibles found through auction and flea markets back into families they belong to.     Thanks for posting the image Michael, history does come alive.

Thanks, I am constantly amazed by the penmanship displayed in old documents, many done with a quill pen. Where they all taught calligraphy ?
Michael, often these early bible entry's were not written by the owner but by the clergy of their local church and even possibly by the local registrar because of reasons of illiteracy    I am not suggesting that in your case but the bible I have has obviously been entered by the registrar and I realized that after seeing his signature on certificate records and other documents showing that my ancestral grandparents signed with an X,  Also, looking at the writing on your pages you can think that it may have been penned by the same person and on the same day.   The pen strokes are beautiful.  Keep it safe and close, it is a treasure.
