1793  canada..thank you..
You could check through and followup with links provided through the gov site.  Knowing the tribe name would be of help for that period as many church records are not available for those early years in eastern Canada.   Any addition information that you can supply regarding his aboriginal roots would be helpful in your search.

Janet, Im also looking. My great great grandfather was John Jones married 2 Sarah [Cave ]Jones. I believe he was born in Delaware Co. Ohio I was always told that my Grandpa George [ John n Sarahs son] was of indian descent Cherokee i believe. Is this by chance a relative of who your looking 4? He was born in 1854 , his parents were George 1824-1901 and Polly [Pike] Jones 1820-1902

It can be a long shot but have you tried searching the Dawes Rolls? I don't know if you have narrowed down the tribe or not?

Good Luck! I am looking for my own Indian (Native American) Heritage and I know how challenging it can be.
