More information would be helpful - like dates, places, etc.  We have quite a few Michael McMahons on Wikitree, but I only saw one born in Australia.  There are several others, though, without birth year, or birthplace.  The one I found was Michael Hubert McMahon, born Sydney, 1883.

Just saw his father, Michael Burns McMahon, 1853-1930.

Hello Fred Thanks for your reply.  No Michael did not come to Australia as far as I am aware. I was talking about more information of  Patrick MCMAHON  born  about 1847 he was the only Patrick MCMAHON farmer from Kildoorus. for the time period. He had lots of children after marrying Anne KEOGH in 1870. I think that the 2 females mentioned in this post would be the daughters. However the ages dont match. But if  the person who placed the post on the board gets in contact with me we might be able to sort out the puzzle.  I have lots of  records and dates  for the MCMAHON of Kildoorus. In 1824 there was only one MCMAHON holding land in Kildoorus. This was Michael MCMAHON who is my Great Great Great Great Grandfather. He then at least 4 children Mary, Thomas 1846, Ellen 1843 and Patrick 1847. The 2 girls mentioned in the posting I think will be daughters of this Patrick who took  over the family farm in Kildoorus.  Regards Greg

Now I see the problem!  I'm reading too fast, and assuming too much.  :-\

Since you're writing from Australia, and I never heard of Kildoorus (I'm sure I'm far from alone there), I assumed that was a town in Australia.  After a bit of googling, I see we're talking about County Clare, Ireland.

Here are a couple of results from a quick (and slightly better informed) search:

1901 census of County Clare shows a farmer named Patrick McMahon.  His age would put his birth year at about 1859.  Immediately below him are wife Anne, 4 daughters and two sons.

FamilySearch.org has less promising results.  There are a few records for men named Michael McMahon with sons named Patrick, but those Patricks were born 1864-65.

Good luck!
