Trying to determine if this is my great great grandfather

Question

My great grandmother was Daisy Hartman Peeler (Hartman-2326). I only know that her parents were William A Hartman and Delilah J. Hartman.

I'm trying to determine if this William A Hartman could be her father. While Daisy was born in NC, her husband's family originally came from the Philadelphia area. His birth year would be about right as well, since Daisy was born in 1893. He actually has a daughter listed that was born in 1892.

If anyone is able to provide additional information that would either help confirm or rule out whether this is the same William A Hartman, it would be much appreciated.

Definitely not the same person. Your family line is easy to follow back. The 1870 census listed gives you a good start.

Yep. I think I've been able to trace back a good amount on my father's side. Right now if I pull up a family list for my father, back to 15 generations, I get 138 people. I've done much better on my mother's side though... back 15 generations I get 457 people!

I also have yet to find anyone that appears to have much of a history on my father's side. On my mother's side, it appears I'm a direct descendant of at least 14 of the 25 surety barons, a Barby coast pirate, and a good number of knights and other members of the nobility.

Go to Familysearch.org. Select "Search" then "Records." I searched for Name: Daisy Louise Hartman, Event: Birth, Place: North Carolina, Event Range: 1890-1896 and I got a few search results that will help you answer your questions. And you can search on other names, dates, etc.
