Donnie:  Back in this period of time, most could not read or write or spell.

So census taker would write names as he thought it would be spelled.

Only one spelled correctly is Loretta.Avie in 1900 Census is Avaline,

She died Avie Brown Shook,her birth March 21 1880,died Sept 22 1959,

Brevard,Transylvania,North Carolina.She married Willard Shook.

Ok I'm going to look it over again and see if I can get all the correct information on the right person but it will be later this afternoon,  if you see something you want to fix the correct way , please do so , alot of my family came out of them mountains in North Carolina, I need to go back up to Sylva Jackson County Society Library,  or do you recommend any Geneologist from that part, Jackson County,  Haywood County,  Transylvania County,  just someone who has done lots of research on these mountain folks,  Thanks for helping me
Wayne I need a connection over sea's on my Blackstone line they have to be someone that knows where this family originally came from, I hope, lol I can't track them down out of South Carolina before 1810's, Thanks for all the help..

Donnie: It is very difficult, tracing a family back too immigration, there are few

records between 1800 and 1500.s in New England Colonies.I have tried a

lot,but finally stopped, because of records and many people with same name. And you will see publications by so called experts, that are not well proven.
