Julia Stanton born at sea

Julia Stanton was born in 1862, 30 miles east of Malta at sea.  I found some Stantons living on Cyprus at this time. Does anyone have a connection to a family Stanton there?

I assume they were on a boat headed for Cyprus to visit relatives before the birth. No proof of this though. I really can't believe they were just on a cruise being that pregnant in those days. They were traveling from London!

Thanks for that, Amy was my great-great grandmother, so I had that information, but Julia came from Frederick's first marriage to Phoebe Jane Stanton, who I can't find any information about, except that she died on the 30 November 1872 in Kensington, London. She was also Annie's mother. I'm looking for Phoebe's maiden name to trace the grandparents. She was illusive in the census about where she was born..in Wales!  And don't you love "born in Quebec"...small town that. I think they might have married outside the UK too, because I can't find a marriage either.
There's a Quebec in County Durham as well - and a Toronto :-)

BTW doesn't her death cert, give a maiden name?

There appears to be no record in England and Wales. I assume we aren't talking about the 1857 marriage in Stoke Damerel to Phoebe Morris?
Lol, I'll have a look around Durham for Annie then!  I'm afraid I only have the parish death certificate with her married name and address. If all else fails, I'll have to get the state death certificate sent to me, but I was actually waiting for the next brick wall to hit before doing so here in Germany.

I suppose if it was all too easy, it wouldn't be fun :-)

Thanks for the help!
