What a wonderful family photo. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, John.  I thought it was pretty cool to see the group together.  I wonder if it is possible to determine what air base or the exact location.
It looks like it is overseas to me. It is a cool picture.
I clicked on the link for a full size picture.  Really nice!  Thanks to all those who served their country.
Very cool pic!
Thank you for sharing your family photo with the community.

Looking through a listing of the Air Force Aircraft inventory for the P-38's. They were stationed at the following locations in Belgium, the letter and number after the name are what the military likes to do, the give names to things as they start operating out of them, makes it easier to say the names.

St-Trond Airfield (A-92)

Le Culot Airfield (A-86)

Asch Airfield (Y-29)

Florennes Air Base

If you could see the serial number of the plane in the photo the inventory could tell you more information about the plane.

Thanks for the information Dean. Doesn't appear that I'll ever be able to make out a serial number from this shot.
