Attached "No Profile Manager" Profile [closed]

+5 votes
I need some help getting a orphaned "No Profile Manager" profile unlocked. This profile is Lowery-180.  I don't know when or who attached it as a child to Lowery-1868 and McNeely-388. The Lowery-180 profile appears to have been around for a few years, my profiles and projects are only about 6 months old.

How do I detach it from my profiles, or change the Red locked symbol or even merge the thing.

Hello, Jim!

If you check the Changes for Richard (Lowery-1868), you will find that you actually linked Diana's profile to his!

Linking the 2 profiles may have caused Diana's profile to become locked (since she appears to be a living person). That's why it is better to adopt an orphaned profile (presuming it was open/white lock before the edits; may have been public/green lock) before editing it!

As Shirley advised, send an email to to have Diana's profile either opened or to add you as manager (not sure if support does that directly).
Thank you, gosh I don't remember doing that but I must have.

Thank you
Jim --

The profile is still locked and orphaned. Is this a family member? Is there a duplicate somewhere?

I can help you get this straightened out if you need to be the Profile Manager or put a merge through.

The profile is for my wife's first cousin.  I would like to become the Profile Manager if possible.

She's all  yours now, Jim!
thank you

You will have to email info at and ask them for help. They are the only ones who can change the privacy setting when there is no profile manager.
