When I see your surname it reminds me of a very good magician named Harry Blackstone. He was born in Chicago in 1885 and lived until 1965. I saw him in downtown Cleveland, Ohio as a kid. His birth name was Bouton, but he changed it. His son, Harry Blackstone, Jr. became a magician also.
Yes I always wondered why he chose Blackstone was that a Family name of his? Grandparents or something
Maybe he thought it was a good stage name for his act. He was billed as The Great Blackstone. It was an impressive act.
I remember the show back in the late 1970's early 1980's on tv, I was just a kid ,
