I don't know if this helps...I found the "Find a Grave" memorial with the birth & death dates you have. He is recorded on the 1911 & 1921 Census of Canada and I count about 9 children including James Arthur. The census information says both of Michael's parents were born in Newfoundland. You may well have all of this information though.

The 1901 census includes another family on the same page as Michael's family... it shows William Poole as head (Michael's brother?) birthdate July 24 1862.

Thank you for your help. I cannot confirm if William is a brother as of yet. I noticed a Walter Poole witnessed Michael's marriage, but cannot tell how he is related either.
Still not hint to his parents names.

I'd suggest, if you want help on a profile (especially someone long dead), to make it open. It's very difficult to do anything to help, otherwise.

I haven't been able to find his parents yet, but I do have other information, regarding his wife and children. I've made a profile for Ellen: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Buffet-19

You should be able to add her as his wife. And you're very welcome then to take over the profiles.

ed. There were at least three families of Poole in Channel having children at around the right time to be Michael's parents: Thomas Poole and Olivia Alice; William Poole and Mary Ann; and John Poole and Hannah. This is complete speculation, but if the Walter Poole who witnessed Ellen and Michael's wedding was Michael's brother, and if he is the same as John Walter Poole, son of John and Hannah, https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QK9Y-MRQ6 then Michael would be the son of John and Hannah.
