Nancy Blount married John Edward Hunt in 1891, and had daughter Stella Hunt in 1893 in Carlisle, Nicholas, Kentucky. Her mother America Utterback passed away in 1887, her father a month before Stella was born. Our story is Stella came to Carroll County, Missouri in a covered wagon and the outfit she wore was saved as a treasure. This photo is either taken in Woodward, Oklahoma or Blackwell, Kay Oklahoma. In 1908 Nancy, children Stella, and Ray were in Blackwell, Kay, Oklahoma. They have historical museum Top of Oklahoma there next to library with records, and momentos that have yet to be digitalized. The building was the  1912 Electric Park Pavilion.  In 1914 Nancy would be remarried to Napoleon B Priddy, his daughter and Stella were in the same grade in high school. More photos to follow of Nancy's siblings.

I wanted to share this family photo of Nancy Priddy with the community. Location: Oklahoma. Date: unknown.

Great family photo! Is that the dress she wore on her way to Kansas? What a tuff life the pioneers lived, but at the same time what an adventure it must of been. Thanks for sharing!
I think the dress was when Stella was smaller about 2 to 4 years. I will have to take a picture of the dress that family still has to compare, but I think in this photo she is 7 to 9 years old. There is another picture of her that someone took a picture of and sent to my grandmother of Stella with her parents when she was about 2 years old. The other picture was with a different picture of a quilt, and of another of an unknown couple, I would love to identify and learn more about. I updated it, we thought they went straight to Oklahoma in covered wagon, but they stopped in Carroll County, Missouri, I kept thinking it was Kansas, but in 1908 John Hunt was in Kansas traveling.
I like to thank you for sharing this wonderful old photo
