Why is uploading a GED.COM such a headache?

It seem as though it is so much easier to add one at a time.

Many people (including myself) do think that entering profiles one by one is easier. GEDCOMs are an option for those who want them, a couple people do prefer the process, but don't feel as if just because it's there you should.

Yeah I uploaded one and will never do it again. I don't believe I'll ever be done with the cleanup. I have rather just add one at a time.

One thing that helped keep me organized when trying to wade through the mess was sorting my watch list be date of last edit. Good luck.
