Profile cannot be found and creates duplicate

The profile in question

When I add a new profile eith the names Lucas du Preez the profile is found.
When I create a profile with Lucas Dűpree is not found with the exact same birth. This is the exact same name as the LNAB

Please could this be fixed, this creates duplicates.

It finds du Preez because that's the CLN.  Technically not really a match, but a hack, and doing its job in this case.

Thanks Horrace, but CLN is not going to prevent duplicates. When different researchers from different places work from the same resources, they are supposed to get the warning that it is a possible duplicate that is being created. In this case it will not happen or did I miss something?

Louis, Before creating a new profile on WikiTree it's always a good idea to look around a bit first to see if the person is already here. You shouldn't just rely on the system to automatically let you know if there's already a profile. I have many ancestors with the surname Smith, so searching for them can be difficult. I always look around for close relatives, parents, spouse, or children, especially ones with an unusual name, to see if the family is already on WikiTree.

Thanks, the problem is not me creating another profile, I've created enough profiles to know, but the problem newbies. They are going to create the duplicates and the system is not working as it should. We had this problem before. So maybe this is a new character or something.
