Is Gov. William Leete a Gateway Ancestor

Please advise about Gov. William Leete's status as a Questionable Gateway Ancestor.  Leete-25

A book, "The Descendants of William Leete one of the Founders of Guilford, Connecticut", states that Leete of Foxecote had been a Thane of Edward, as recorded in the Domesday Book; another manor had been held by another Leete...also the Rotule Litterarum clausaurum include some documentation regarding land provided by King John "for the benefit of various crusading knights of the Leete family...using surname de Letes...

I added sources for his father & grandfather, but the rest of the line needs a lot of work to prove a connection to the surety barons.

I appreciate your looking into this.  I've been chasing some other lines, mostly in New England.

I looked over the list of gateway ancestors and I'm now connecting to John Talcott of Connecticut.  It takes a whole village to build a genealogy!
