I've now been on WikiTree long enough that I've some questions get asked (granted, with different wording) multiple times now. Granted, with so many messages in the message base, it's not particularly realistic to expect people (especially newbies) to search through the whole message base to see if their questions have already been asked. (Although kudos to those who do take the time to do that.) On the other hand, I don't think it's realistic to expect those people who have written up "Best Answers" to keep on copying and pasting them every time somebody asks the same question. (Although, again, kudos to those who chime in with comments like "You might want to take a look at so-and-so's answer to a question like yours in this thread over here.")
So I'm wondering if it might be possible to merge threads which are on the same topic into a single long thread, so that every answer that people have made over time is available to everybody who has asked that same question.
