I'm trying to find out more about Frances "Fanny" Consas Loftin (1 December 1784-1 March 1817).  She was born in Georgia and died in Mississippi.  Married to Asa Loftin Sr. (1784-1860). That's all I have.  She died a couple months after giving birth to Asa Loftin (1817-1880). I have not been able to find any connections to the Consas surname, an uncommon name. If anyone is researching the surname Consas I would appreciate any info. that you may have concerning connections to Fanny Consas.

Thanks

From 1790 through 1870 there was only one Consas in the census, 1850 Louisiana. Her surname is likely a corruption of some other spelling.

There is a book on Loftin if it helps

Thank you.  I have looked at this and am trying to find any stories about her.  Hopefully I can figure out other possible surnames that Consas may have been.

I wasn't able to find any more information on Fanny than you did but here is a link to a transcript of the Loftin Family Bible on genealogy.com that shows Fannu as Asa's first wife. http://www.genealogy.com/forum/surnames/topics/loftin/322/

Further exploration may yield some results. Good luck with your research!
