Can't remember or find how to add an email that creates a link to it.

have tried <www. so and so>; [[same thing]]  <ref> same thing</ref> (once that did work)

But I keep trying to put on in a Source on the create page and it keeps telling me the email is not valid. The person gave permission to use it in the profile.

Thanks kindly!  Barb

How long is it?  If this is personal e-mail that lives on your hard drive or on a provider's server somewhere, I think you would do better just to copy and paste it into the profile.  Seems like such a link would become a broken link eventually.  Just my opinion.
Thanks for answering, Dennis. I was afraid I hadn't explained my problem accurately and went back to the profile and "light bulb" it flashed in my mind:  [[mailto:then the email address]].  Your prompt helped!  Thank you!  Barb
Even with permission, I would recommend against putting an e-mail in a profile. It can make it a target for spam.
OK, glad to have helped, however that worked (??).  BTW, I agree with Greg, I was talking about content, I wouldn't post someone else's e-mail address in a profile!
Dennis and Greg, Excellent idea, I will let him know, he thought it would be a good way to contact since he is not with wikitree.  But I'll let him decide!

No URL or email address should be viewed as permanent in any case. Just use your best judgement as you would with any link.
