Any info for Robert Nicholson Riggs

I have traced my Riggs family tree back to Robert Nichlson Riggs born abt. 1814 in North Carolina. He mived to California with his wife, Alice and my great-grandfather,  John Stanford Riggs and his wife Sarah Elizabeth Taylor Riggs abt 1855 to 1860. Settled in Camarillo,  Ca.

The couple was in Santa Barbara, California in 1870. Robert and Alice were both 54 yrs old. He was b NC, Alice in TN.

John Riggs, 28 and Thomas Riggs, 16. John b KY, Thomas, Arkansas. All three men farmed and Alice kept house.

I have this information; however I cannot connect Robert to a family in North Carolina. I am unable to locate a birth record or a census record for North Carolina. There were many Riggs's in North Carolina and I would love to be able to connect Robert Nicholson to one of those families.

I added the records I could find to his profile. He probably did not move to Arkansas without other family members. You may want to look for other Riggs families in that area, as well.

Also, it looks like he died after 1873, but before 1880.
