Searching for parents of Anthony Conti and or Rose German

Anthony Conti 1874-16 Oct 1927 was born in Messina, Sicily. He married Francesca Borchiero 8 May 1870-7 Oct 1942.  On Anthony's death certificate in 1927 in Toronto, Ontario states that he was the son of Anthony Conti and Rose German. I can't find a marriage date for Rose and Anthony but given the practice of firstborn sons being named after their father or grandfather I suspect they were married just a bit before 1874. I have seen Conti spelled Conte. The Anthony Conti born in 1874 emigrated from Italy to Canada. Anthony Conti and Francesca Borchiero  had a son also named Anthony Conti in Nov 2, 1899 born in Messina, Italy. Both Anthony Conti born 1874 and Anthony Conti born 1899 emigrated to Toronto, Ontario. I would dearly love to know anything about the Anthony Conti who married Rose German. Thank you very much.

I am also going to mention that the parents of the deceased are relayed by living relatives at the time of death.  It is very possible an assumption was made, that since Anthony and Rose were the children's names, they were also the parents' names.  It is not necessarily true but has happened.  Also, it is possible that Anthony was not the first Anthony born.  Sometimes a child dies and the family names another child after him.
I had this marriage already. I think the tradition of naming the children after the parents confirms this relationship. Rosina was named after her grandmother Rose German and Anthony was named after his father and his grandfather. So I find myself still looking for information on the Anthony Conti who married Rose German. Thank you for helping.   John
It may.  I am only mentioning it because in my family there is a case where one sibling died later than the others. An in-law seems to  have guessed her parents names.  And he guessed the names of the other siblings he knew. Which were not the parents' names at all

Anyway, do you have the passenger list or know when they arrived in Canada?
