Marnie, I saw your question earlier and didn't respond, because I didn't really understand it. I suspect others are having the same problem, so I wonder if you could perhaps explain it a little further. You downloaded an image from Family Search (presumably a .jpg file?) that already had text on it that you're trying to edit? Or you added text to it and are now trying to edit that? And the image turned black when you tried to add text, or when you saved it, or at some other point, or your entire display turned black? If it's just the image, and the rest of your display looks normal, do you get a menu of options displayed when you right-click on the image? And what exactly do you mean by "reload" and "upload a duplicate"? Would be happy to try to help if you could explain this a little more clearly.
