If they are online,you can print them out,unless they are copyright

protected.

Of course it is. See Uploading Documents.

If you can take pictures or scan the documents you can upload the images.

Allowed formats are JPG, GIF, PNG or PDF. Files can be up to 10MB/ea.

or you can create links to text files as described.

As others have said above, you can upload documents and pictures. Before uploading them, think about whether they are available for free in an online archive or at FamilySearch.  If so, you might want to just provide a link to the document.  That is what I do with many documents, such as census that I can find on FamilySearch or at the Library and Archives Canada, or some death certificates for Missouri, where I link to the State website.
