The book is a list of several bios about early settlers in Ohio. It would have been published late 1800;s. My gggrandfather is said to have contributed. He was, John South b. in 1815 in BedfordCo., PA and moved to Athens Co., Ohio in about 1842 and died in Athens Co., Ohio in 1892.

Another researcher reported seeing the book several years ago and he said John South talked about his life in bothe Athens and Bedford, PA.

There was a book published in the 1880s, Howe's History of Ohio. it's probably available from antigue book dealers, Google ABE Books.

There's another book, printed in 25 40 page sections, to be bound together, The Book of Ohio by C. S. Van Tassel. It was of limited publication and only pieces of it are found today. It covered Ohio from Glacial Times to 1900.
