Other than complete speculation unless you did the work and got the sources to prove it. That would be impossible to know.

Billy, after looking at the source records listed, it is highly unlikely Harriet Brown Callahan is native American.  She is listed as White.  In the south, if she'd had a trace of color, she would have been listed as Indian or Mulatto.

I agree! She is listed as white on the census you have referenced. You can check the Native American project for a list of sources to investigate further.
from what ive found some of the callahan were or had indian ancestory

by marrige to male or female

the areas i looked into are ky va tn nc
also because of them having indian they gave child either mothers madien name or even a neighbors to hid the fact

some were even called the black irish

no disrespect to anyone this is just what ive found in old newspapers ,letters ,and books
