Is anyone doing any research on the Farmer family?

Question

I am currently researching the Farmer family line. I am from the Josiah Farmer who married Elizabeth White in Elbert, Georgia. Their daughter Mary J married James Buchanan and their daughter Louisa O, married William S Solley my ggggrandfather I believe. I need the info for who is his parents. I cant quiet pin it down for sure. I dont really know for sure I dont trust a message boards ideal of who the father is and have yet to find a record of him being son of a Thomas Farmer but I am still looking,

 Thomas J. Farmer was born on June 12, 1784, his father, Josiah, was 40 and his mother, Sarah, was 40. He married Susanna Stone and they had seven children together. He then married Cynthia Ferguson in 1837. He died on February 16, 1877, at the impressive age of 92.

If there is a site with a message board or anymore info than I have I havent found it. He moved to Carroll Georgia in the 1840s but I cant find anything that would say which Thomas would be the father for sure,

My great grandparents were William Berry Farmer, (b.17 FEB 1837 • Pike, Georgia and d. 17 FEB 1926 • Newman Community, Fisher County, Texas) and Margaret J "Maggie" Lewis Farmer (b. 5 APR 1849 • Clarks, Lafayette, Arkansas and d. 16 NOV 1932 • Sylvester, Fisher County, Texas).  His father was Isham Farmer, (b. 1804 • South Carolina and d. After 1 Sep 1860) and his mother, Martha Thompson (b. 1804 • South Carolina and d. About 1849 • Probably Pike County, Georgia).  That is as far back as I have been able to go.
