Looking for Jacob W. Coffman born 1831 that married Amanda Ely in 1855

Question

Jacob was the father of of Abraham Coffman born Sept, 1856 in Appanoose Co., Iowa and Abraham was the father of Walter David born Oct. 1880 in Kansas.  Walter David is my Grand father on my dad's side.  My dad is Burdett O. Coffman born June 17, 1911 and married Clara M. Churchill.  I hope that some on can really help me find out if I'm on the right track of the Coffman.  I think Abraham is my great grandfather but I also see a William Coffman so I need help
