Do you know the parents of George W Mathis/Mathews that was living in Polk County TN in the 1850?

My great great great grandparents are George W Mathis/Mathews and his wife Frances Elizabeth Moore Mathis/Mathews. They had a child David W Mathis/Mathews living with them in the 1850 Federal Census. They were living it Polk County TN next door to Nathaniel and Nancy Mathis/Mathews. That Census year their last names were spelled Mathews.

George W Mathis/Mathews and Frances Elizabeth moved to Fannin County GA around the 1860's. David W Mathis/Mathews married Rachel Dilbeck. They had a son name Thomas Franklin Mathews. He married Clearsey Jane Hice. Their son Thomas McKinley Mathews married Millie Lee Gibson.

Their son Eugene Robert Matthews married Brenda Kay Hamby. I Stephen Shane Matthews belong to them.

I am trying to trace my roots as far as I can go back. I am at a road block. I don't know if Nathaniel and Nancy are the parents of George Washington Mathews/Mathis. I do know that Nathaniel Mathews/Mathis was born in NC around 1795 and Nancy was born around 1800 in NC. but I am not for certian about Nancy's maiden name nor do I know if they are related to GeorgeW.

I got mixed up with the spouses. George W. Mathis spouse is Rachel Dilbeck NOT Francis Elizabeth Moore.
David W Mathis spouse is Francis Elizabeth Moore NOT Rachel Dilbeck.
Nathaniel Mathis is on the 1860 Census in Cherokee County NC.
I am not sure if he is the parent of George W Mathis?
Can anyone help me please? Nancy what is her maiden name?

George W Mathis married Rachel Dilbeck on June 5 1845. Christopher Elrod Mg.

David W Mathis, son of George W Mathis and Rachel Dilbeck married Frances Elizabeth Moore, the daughter of John Moore.
