Did not find a Sissy Tierney, possibly because the forename could be a nickname. Also, looked for Terence Tierney at familysearch.org without a favorable result.

There was a Mary Theresa Tierney born Scotland 1902.   (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:24FX-MTP : 2 October 2015)

Was there a Terence tierney born around same time as Mary?

Thankyou very much. Were Mary Theresa Tierney related maybe brother and sister or something

Terence was born in Bedfordshire, England and in checking the distance from there to Glasgow, it's 362 miles.

Terence Robert "Terry" Tierney
Starting to wonder if Mary was also born there I'm u sure. I'm on mobile doin this so I'm findin it difficult thanks thou
Mary Theresa Tierney left Glasgow when she went to New York. Terrence was born 362 miles south of Glasgow, so for them to be brother and sister, the family would have had to move into central England.

I have only used familysearch.org for trying to find the answers. Maybe Glasgow would have a resource to explore more details about the Tierney family.

Unfortunately Scottish records have been aggressively monetized by www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk owned by the National Records of Scotland. Their pricing is quite indefensible IMO. In any event without knowing what "Sissy" stood for it's hard to proceed.

You can register and search for free on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk but have to pay extortionate amounts to see the actual images. I found a Terence Tierney born 1904 in the Gorbals (an area of Glasgow). Searching for all Tierneys born 1903-1907 in the Gorbals gives:

Surname Forename Gender Year Ref RD Name

Surname              Forename           Gender Year       Ref                         RD Name

TIERNEY               MARY                    F              1903       644/12 1419        Gorbals

TIERNEY               TERENCE              M            1904       644/12 1126        Gorbals

TIERNEY               JOSEPH                 M            1905       644/12 408          Gorbals

TIERNEY               ELIZABETH           F              1906       644/12 342          Gorbals

TIERNEY               CATHERINE         F              1906       644/12 1295        Gorbals

TIERNEY               STEPHEN              M            1906       644/12 639          Gorbals

My guess for 'Sissy' would be Elizabeth.
