For some reason, the <references/> tag and ==Sources== isn't working on this profile? [closed]

The references are not displaying under ==Sources== and <references/>?  I can't figure out what I am doing wrong here?

Just in case someone else visits this post looking for the solution to this issue ...

When this happens to me it is usually because I have an unclosed <ref> tag somewhere on the page.

So <ref name=obituary>Citation<ref/> should have been <ref name=obituary>Citation</ref>.

This is my statement of fact. <ref name=obituary> should have been <ref name=obituary/> (note the closing / before the > in the tag).

A misplaced closing tag will place everything that follows into that tag until it finds another closing tag with the same tag name. This can make the rest of the page not render correctly.
